Artists to be Announced
Following the success of the inaugural trail in March 2012, the vibrant Harbourview Sculpture Trail will be back on the Auckland arts calendar on Te Atatu Peninsula in March 2014. Fifty one artists have been selected to exhibit from a nationwide Call for Entries, and event organisers Peninsula Arts Inc. and curator Sally Lush have been delighted with the large response and quality of submissions. “We have been privileged to choose some very exciting pieces from established and emerging artists, with an exceptionally high calibre of conceptual pieces,” says curator Sally Lush. “The works will also be available for sale to the public during the trail season.” The anticipated announcement of artist names and several brief conceptual presentations of works selected for the 2014 Harbourview Sculpture Trail will take place at the Peninsula Arts AGM, 2pm Sunday 18 August.
