BATS Theatre welcomes a new Co-General Manager/Business Development Manager

BATS Theatre Chair, Stephen Blackburn is pleased to announce Waren Thomas as the new Business Development Manager and Co General Manager of BATS Theatre. Waren will take up the position at BATS Theatre on May 15th.
Waren will return to Wellington from Melbourne to take up the role. Waren has a Masters of Arts and Cultural Management from the University of Melbourne, and is a law, arts and music graduate of Victoria University. He has experience in producing for RNZ and event management and management in Wellington.
“We welcome Waren as someone who understands not only the landscape of Wellington but also the kaupapa of BATS Theatre. He comes with a variety of experience and passion for the role BATS can play in the cultural ecology of Wellington and the nation. We also wish to acknowledge the valuable contribution of outgoing manager Gemma Robinson who goes on to work for the Ministry of Culture and Heritage, our loss is their gain.” Blackburn says.
