Bring out the pie warmer, award winning Ponsonby Pies has come to the table to support The Nudge’s Big Nudge Pie Tour and album release in Auckland.
The Wellington band are set to play an in-store at Conch Records on 10th August and live at Golden Dawn on 9th September. After hearing about the band’s crazy love of pies, Ponsonby Pies is bringing along their Gold Medal winning Mince & Cheese Pie for the band and punters to taste for themselves.
Ponsonby Pies Mince & Cheese Pie is produced by Gourmet Foods and won the Gold Award at the recent Bakels Supreme Pie Awards, in the Commercial category.

Describing their sound as many fingers in many pies, The Nudge pie is a concoction of a blues and rock base with a deep swamp filling and raucous party crust, mixed and baked by singer/guitarist Ryan Prebble, keyboardist James Coyle and drummer Iraia Whakamoe.
Fresh from the oven, the Big Nudge Pie album is a humble representation of the bands live experience. Steering clear of typical overdub heavy recordings, Big Nudge Pie is three dudes, one room, lots of mics and ten tracks, recorded at The Surgery, Wellington. Numerous pies were consumed during the recording. The limited edition album will be available at Conch Records, online from amplifier.co.nz and at the Golden Dawn Show.
