Chiron Group New Zealand acquires iconic music business, Lewis Eady.

In November 2019, Chiron Group New Zealand ("Chiron") acquired Lewis Eady and its subsequent businesses, Lewis Eady Music School and NOTE Coffee and Eats.

Lewis Eady specialises in pianos, guitars and music education. They are an award-winning Steinway & Sons dealership and also operate a thriving Music School. Over four generations, Lewis Eady has influenced the music industry through their generous sponsorship of pianos to key venues such as the Auckland Town Hall, support for emerging musicians, establishing the music section at the Auckland Central Library, among many others. Lewis Eady was the oldest family-owned and operated music business in Australasia until its acquisition in 2019 by Chiron Group New Zealand.

Chiron is a leading provider of music education services in Auckland, New Zealand. Established in 2014 by international flautist Grace Liu, Chiron aims to foster a lifelong love of music for students of all ages and levels. Under Grace's directorship, Chiron now serves as the umbrella organisation for three music schools (Albany School of Music, Remuera Music Academy, Lewis Eady Music School), one educational trust (Chiron Charitable Trust), and two retail businesses (Lewis Eady, NOTE Coffee and Eats). 

Under Chiron, Lewis Eady and the Lewis Eady Music School will continue to create unique and memorable musical experiences for Aucklanders and beyond with the same administrative team, managed by General Manager, John Eady. The Lewis Eady family would like to thank all staff and clients for their support through this transition, and also extend their gratitude to the Music School students, parents, and long-term supporters of the business.
