Following a successful inaugural Festival in 2013 we are very excited to officially announce that Chromacon will be back in 2015 on 18 & 19 April!

Chromacon is a curated indie arts festival that celebrates the coming together of community, creativity and innovation and we are once again teaming up with Auckland Live as our Venue Partner  - this time presenting Chromacon over TWO whole days.

Chromacon also expands to take over Upper & Lower NZI of the Aotea Centre, Auckland to bring everyone this FREE public event which connects New Zealanders with the best homegrown illustrators, comic artists, designers, animators, game developers and more!

At Chromacon, you will find original artwork and creative projects from a range of media, styles, and genres. You will also be able to purchase self-published work such as prints, art books, comics or even originals directly from the creative themselves. We will also be hosting live events, drawing/painting demos, and artist talks/panels on a variety of subjects as part of the Festival.

What's more, we are delighted to announce that applications to exhibit at Chromacon 2015 are now being accepted. Chromacon is all about showcasing and celebrating art that is illustrative in nature and being inclusive of all styles or genres.

If you have a passion for storytelling and are interested in applying to exhibit, please check our call for applications here.

Mark your calendars and help us spread the word about Chromacon 215 - this free public event is sure to be an exciting weekend with something for everyone!
