Here’s a little bit of info:

The Newtown Community & Cultural Centre (NCCC) in Newtown, Wellington is getting reno’ed (bit.ly/OurTownNewtown). You can expect a complete redesign of the interior, it’ll be light and bright, accessible and the character of the building will be enhanced! 

So, NCCC is moving out of our building for a whole YEAR. The building, on the corner of Colombo & Rintoul Streets, is a huge ex-Church with heaps of nooks, crannies, hidden rooms and strange angles. On the weekend of the 14th, 15th and 16th of May, we’re throwing open all the doors - so come and explore! What might you find? Local artists’ work to admire and buy, lights & art installation rooms, graffiti art all over the walls, live music, dance and community performances.  

If you’re reading this information it’s because you might be interested in submitting some of your artwork for display and sale as one of the elements of the event is a classic gallery show. 

Art Jam will run:

Friday 14th May - Ticketed music gig (details TBC)

Saturday 15th May - 9am-2pm (Gold coin entry)

Sunday 16th May - 12pm-7pm (Gold coin entry)
