Far North Art Award 2016
No.1 Parnell, Rawene, announces its 2016 Far North Art Award. The purpose of this award is to support, encourage and showcase the work of artists living in the Far North. The subject for this Award is Turangawaewae: Sense of Place and is open to all interpretations and media, including painting, photography, carving, weaving, mixed media.
The Far North Art Award has one prize of $2000 and a Youth Award of $500 (18 years and under*).
The award is open to all artists resident in the Far North, the area defined by the Far North District map. Entries close 12 pm midday Friday 21 October 2016 and finalists will be annouced on Mon 31st October.
Works selected as finalists will be exhibited at No.1. Parnell, from November 12th to december 17th December 2016 at No 1 Parnell.
