The UK’s original “Hip Hop Geezer” Blak Twang will make his New Zealand debut next summer at Splore 2014. Well known for collaborations with Roots Manuva, Ty, Congo Natty and Talib Kweli, Blak Twang is probably best known for his club classic 'So Rotten'. He will be accompanied with the return of fellow Brit hip hop dj/producer Shortee Blitz.
Canadian electronic duo and Burning Man and Shambala regulars,The Funk Hunters will also make their first appearance in New Zealand next summer with two scheduled sets at Splore.
Local acts confirmed by Splore include Wellington 9-piece, Brockaflowersaurus-Rex, which features the vocalists Louis Baker, Estere Dalton and Zoe Mahal. Nick D and Dick Johnson’s afro-caribbean influenced group Weird Together will make a return appearance at Splore along with New Zealand, Berlin-based producer Scratch 22.
