FRESH CHOICE NELSON PEOPLE'S ART AWARD is now open for applications.
$1000 prize money and your artwork on a beer label.
Preparations for Art Expo Nelson are well underway. In the meantime, we are very excited to announce the Fresh Choice Nelson People's ART AWARD.
Last year, Fresh Choice Nelson offered a wine label art award, this year Tracy Banner, Sprig & Fern's owner and master brewer, is creating a special brew of American Pale Ale and 1000 rigger bottles of this will carry the winning art label. The winner will be announced at Art Expo Nelson 2014 and the beer will be sold at in Fresh Choice Nelson, Richmond and Takaka supermarkets. The Nelson area is well known for our wonderful artistic community and our boutique beer – a great match for Art Expo Nelson 2014.
How To Enter
Artists are requested to submit one artwork for consideration with up to five finalists chosen. The finalists’ artworks will be displayed at Fresh Choice Nelson where the public can vote for their favourite piece. Any South Island artist can enter this competition. Applications are open now and close on Friday 16 May.

This is a great opportunity to win an art award, prize money and to promote your artwork in a different medium. Last year’s winner, Indigo Wise sold the original as well as numerous prints of the artwork after the competition. This year, it could be your piece of artwork on a special edition brew by Sprig & Fern.
