Dusty Room Productions are currently fundraising to take their award-winning sci-fi thriller ALONE on a tour of New Zealand this summer.

ALONE is a two-woman theatre show about climate change, feminism, space exploration, and David Bowie. It premiered at Auckland Fringe Festival, where it was performed inside the MOTAT Aviation Hangar and went on to win Best Theatre and a 'Tour Ready Production' Award at the 2020 Fringe Awards Ceremony. 

Dusty Room have some big dreams for the project like taking it overseas (COVID-willing) and maybe even making a feature film.

The first step is a tour of the show to some incredible spaces and towns around New Zealand in early 2021.

A Boosted campaign has been launched to fund the costs of rehearsal space and the material costs of building tourable set, costumes, and props, as well as hiring lighting and sound gear in support of the tour. Dusty Room have goals to create an eco-friendly and accessible production, so are also seeking support from likeminded businesses and invididuals to help build a sustainable production.

'ALONE' is a new award-winning Kiwi play about space exploration, feminism, climate change, and David Bowie. 

It's an exciting and innovative sci-fi thriller with sustainability at its core.  Created by a passionate group of Auckland based actors and artists, 'ALONE' is an intense and thrilling ride to the edges of space and humanity.​  Aboard a crowd-funded spacecraft called ‘The Lily of the Nile’, a two-woman crew are on the home stretch of a two-year mission that could provide a solution for an Earth ravaged by climate change.  Pragmatic and passionate Doctor Sarah Taylor (Kat Glass) believes her work with foreign micro-bacterium could make Earth habitable once more. Jessica Holland (Courtney Bassett) – a charismatic and quick-witted young pilot - is charged with getting Doctor Taylor’s work and samples home​
