An evening with Neil Cross
Fans of Doctor Who, Spooks, and Luther can join writer Neil Cross in Wellington this month as he talks about his work, his experiences in the film and television industry, and his award-winning novels.
Neil is an internationally acclaimed film and television writer – and a master storyteller.
In Doctor Who, he took new companion Clara on her first journey through space in the Rings of Akhaten - and sent the Doctor on his eeriest adventure yet in the ghostly Hide. He terrified moviegoers across the world in Guillermo Del Toro’s smash-hit Mama. As lead writer for the BBC spy drama Spooks he was responsible for some of Section D’s most perilous missions. And he created a modern television icon in the Emmy-nominated, Golden Globe-winning crime thriller Luther, starring Idris Elba.
He’s also an award-winning novelist, both long-listed for the Booker Prize and acclaimed by the Guardian as “Britain’s own Stephen King”.
Here is an opportunity to hear Neil talk about his writing, his experiences in the industry, and his new and forthcoming projects – including the NBC series Crossbones, starring John Malkovich.
