“My expressive paintings tend to be thematically based - evolving through a playful interaction between materials and techniques; unconventional methods; the mind and imagination. My approach is experimental and explorative, and accidents are welcomed. Dancing forms, visionary figures and distorted trees, are some of the images evoked from the spontaneous gestures and textures. Sometimes the multi-layered paint surfaces move away from the figurative and congeal into abstraction; capturing a sense of forgotten time. My work is constantly developing and changing as new directions emerge.”
