The PPNZ Music Grants programme is a way for PPNZ to contribute to the vibrancy and sustainability of the New Zealand recorded music industry. PPNZ has always provided a range of support across the industry and the new Music Grants programme will make it easier to understand what PPNZ can help with and how to go about applying for assistance.

PPNZ Music Grants help with specific educational and charitable projects.

Educational - such as music industry seminars & workshops, skills development, school & tertiary institution projects.

Charitable - charitable & cultural projects that do not qualify for NZ Music Foundation support and that benefit the wider industry. Music Grants must relate to a specific project and must be of a non-commercial nature. For instance, an application to fund a tour, video, recordings or other activities specific to an individual recording artist would not be successful.

There are 4 funding rounds each year. Individuals can apply for up to $2,500 per round and organisations up to $5,000 per round.

2013 Rounds

Round 1 - closed
Round 2 - Application by 30 June with decision notified by 31 July
Round 3 - Application by 30 September with decision notified by 31 October
Round 4 - Application by 24 December with decision notified by 31 January
