Animation College is proud to announce the launch of The Light and Dark Secondary School Character Design Competition for 2015.

Light and Dark starts officially on the 20th of April and runs for six weeks.

The competition runs nationwide and is open to all year 11-13 secondary school students.

Students choose one light and one dark emotion and design an original character which can express both emotions.

There are over $10,000 worth of prizes up for grabs, including:

• a first year scholarship at Animation College

• cash prizes

• sponsor prize packs

Students have access to community support throughout the duration of the competition, which includes; online tutorials, valuable character creation skills and feedback on their designs as they progress.

As well as this there are also weekly challenges and prizes along the way.

• Arkham City Comics.

Now in its second year the Light and Dark Secondary School Character Design Competition is hosted by Animation College.

Based at level 11, 385 Queen Street, Auckland, Animation College is the only college to offer both degree and diploma level courses specializing in 2D & 3D animation.
