Nationwide depot search for lost paintings on their way to an Art Show.

Last Wednesday the 16th of June, the two paintings belonging to a SCAS South Canterbury Art Society Member, Ynes Guevara, were dropped of at the NZ Post courier shop in NorthTown Mall, in Timaru.

NZ Post courier has lost a parcel containing two paintings on their way to an Art Show. Last Wednesday the 16th of June, the two paintings belonging to a SCAS South Canterbury Art Society Member, Ynes Guevara, were dropped of at the NZ Post courier service shop in NorthTown Mall, in Timaru when they were last seen in their packaging., This paintings were meant to go on their way to Christchurch for the annual event of The Christchurch Art Show 2022 this Matariki long weekend.

 

This was an overnight delivery that turn out to be a nationwide depot searching operation for the missing paintings that are currently still unable to locate.

 

The two paintings from the artist Ynes Guevara, were going to a collective panel display within the Arts Canterbury association. This paintings are part of the artist’s series completed last year for a solo exhibition at the Suter Art Gallery Te Aratoi o Whakatū thought the Nelson Suter Art Society.

 

The paintings have a retail value of around $3,000 and are still waiting for a collector to purchase them.
