NZ Band playing for Refugee Benefit Gig.

A fundraiser organised by  the Auckland Refugee Council.

Auckland sibling Rock band The Neo-Kalashnikovs will be performing at Aotea Square in support of the refugee crisis.

The local Mt Albert band had a successful song on high rotate on Radio Hauraki last year called  ‘Turn the Tables’.

Volita Bioletti the singer/song writer and eldest of the band members, will be playing 'Mean Things’ & dedicating it to John Key.

She has a political interest in this issue & would like to help the refugees as much as she can. “If I had my way I would accept thousands into the country ,instead of the hundreds that the government is intending.”

“You have to stand up for yourself and say something…my experience of a hunger protest in Ireland that I filmed in 2013 had a deep effect on me. I’m very grateful for the opportunity to perform this Saturday, for something I believe in.”

Saturday September 19, 2pm, Aotea Square
