‘With You’ describes the feeling of walking into a room / bar / party full of beautiful people and falling head over heels in love with basically everyone you see. We wanted to play around with the idea of wanting to marry someone you haven’t even met and how that would pan out.

‘For You’ was inspired by the positive role models we have in our lives for love and relationships – parents, friends and whanau etc. We wanted to write a kind of tribute to all of the people who have set good examples for us of how to treat your loved ones.

Since their establishment in 2014, Otium have developed a highly dynamic live show and a unique, genre-merging style which continues to propel them through the New Zealand Music scene. Hailing from the Northland city of Whangarei, the band has built a substantial following in their home region which started to spread across the country following the release of their self-titled EP in October 2017.

2018 has seen the band flat out! Kicking it off playing Soundsplash in Raglan before shaking Auckland up with their headline show, The Deadman Disco. June saw the reactivation of Otium’s Late Night Hype, a showcase of local musicians promising a wild night and endless boogying. Otium hit Lab Studios in July, laying down two beautiful, funky tracks...
