Rachel Antony has been upped to CEO role from her current position as Director of Production and Development at Greenstone TV.

Greenstone is the foremost factual production company in NZ and part of the Australian owned CJZ Group. The prod co produces some of New Zealand top rating and much loved titles including Border Patrol, Motorway Patrol, Dog Squad, Highway Cops, Neighbours At War to name just a few.

“We are extremely pleased Rachel has accepted the CEO role, replacing Richard Driver who has been in the top job for the past two and a half years. Rachel has done an outstanding job since joining GS TV three years ago and is very well equipped to take on this new challenge. Rachel is an impressive operator and her strong track record across both TV and digital, position her perfectly as CEO”, said Matt Campbell, CJZ Group CEO.

Richard Driver will serve as NZ Chairman after being instrumental in changing the culture at Greenstone following the departure of former management. “We are eternally grateful to Richard for accepting the MD role some two and half years ago and steering GS TV through a very complex period for all media companies. We understand him wanting to spend more time with his family on the farm, his polo team and racing motorbikes. Richard has kindly agreed to stay on in the new advisory role as Chair”, said Campbell.

Rachel said, “As well as being behind much of Kiwis’ favourite viewing for the past two decades, Greenstone’s been a really big part of my career; I first worked at Greenstone, as a researcher, in 1999  - so to now step into the role of CEO is a huge privilege. I’m grateful to Richard, Matt, Michael and Nick for the trust they’re placing in me and so grateful for the amazing team I get to work with every day. It’s a disruptive time for the media industry, but given there’s rarely a day in production that doesn’t involve some creative problem solving, we’re feeling confident we can meet the challenges.”

Richard Driver said, “Working at Greenstone has been a rewarding experience for me. For the past two-and-a-half years I have been part of an extended family of enthusiastic, creative and highly professional people. Being the MD has been an absolute privilege as has the opportunity to be able to work with the team at CJZ.

Rachel’s appointment as CEO is a positive step for Greenstone. I am confident that she will lead the company forward and continue to grow Greenstone’s solid reputation for crafting compelling content."

Rachel’s new position is effective immediately.
