Red Scare Theatre Company - 2022 Submissions Open!
Red Scare Theatre Company are now accepting submissions for our 2022 theatre programme. If you'd like to pitch a show for Red Scare to produce in 2022, now is your chance!
We are accepting:
New plays for the stage or audio drama
Pitches from directors – this could be a new play or a new production of an existing play.
We're open to considering pretty much anything, but here are a few things to know about Red Scare as a company and what we like to produce. We love:
Musicals and plays with songs
World premieres of new work from Aotearoa
NZ premieres of international work
Scripted work
Supporting emerging practitioners
Send your submissions to cassandra@redscare.co.nz. To submit as a playwright, send your script and a short biography. To submit as a director, send a document outlining your pitch for the production and a short biography – playwright/director teams are welcome to submit together.
Submissions close on November 15th 2021.
