This season, 50+ Shore Scripts industry professionals in multiple countries read and reviewed over 400 submissions from aspiring and emerging screenwriters from around the world. The process of selecting this season's placings was an incredibly difficult task and a testament to the quality and diversity of the submissions we received.

Our Script Development Fund doesn't end with the competition. We are humbled and thrilled to now support our two Winners as they write their screenplays in the coming year.

GRAND PRIZE WINNER | WARDEN OF THE BAY by Lisa Wills
After her mother commits suicide, a savvy, teenage girl living in a San Francisco group home uses her grifting skills to make enough money to break out of the foster care system.

Lisa will receive a $2,000 cash prize, and 12 months of script development with our Head of Education, Lee Hamilton.

2ND PLACE WINNER | OUTREACH by Moreetsi Gabang
Jacob Lesiba, a seasoned detective haunted by family loss, teams up with journalist and former abductee, Katlego Moloi, to investigate a ritual murder tied to an otherworldly church.

Moreetsi will receive a $1,000 cash prize, plus 12 months of script development with Lee.
