The Auckland Performing Arts Centre (TAPAC) is excited to announce Sally-Anne Kerr’s appointment as our new Executive Director.

Sally-Anne is a strategic and enterprising leader who brings a broad background of arts management, legal, entrepreneurial and creative skills to her role as Executive Director of TAPAC. 

TAPAC Artistic Director, Margaret-Mary Hollins says: “Sally-Anne Kerr, has been with us at TAPAC for under a month and what a profound difference her footprint is making, at this early stage! As the Artistic Director of TAPAC, I now have space to plan in terms of the artistic vision and direction of TAPAC with Sally-Anne at my side.”

For the last ten years, Sally-Anne produced the Good Morning show on Television New Zealand's TV One. She is credited with significantly growing Good Morning's revenues, ratings delivery, digital engagement and sponsorship.

Prior to returning to New Zealand in 2005, Sally-Anne held senior arts management roles in Australia. She was the Director of Film Victoria, a state government agency responsible for providing strategic leadership and assistance to the film, television and digital media sectors of Victoria.  She was also the Director of Development and Production at Columbia TriStar in Sydney.

Prior to entering the arts sector, Sally-Anne worked as a finance lawyer for top tier Australian legal firm King & Wood Mallesons. Recently, Sally-Anne graduated with a Master of Entrepreneurship (Distinction) from Otago University and completed a professional qualification in Digital Marketing.

Sally-Anne is loving the role and enjoying working with Artistic Director Margaret-Mary Hollins, the team and the board to build TAPAC's revenue and profile as one of Auckland’s favourite performing arts facilities.

Margaret-Mary says, “We love sharing the joy and value of dance, theatre and music with a hungry and diverse community - from classes with Teaching Artists fervently sharing their years of experience, through to productions. Engaging with community groups and professionals from our industry is essential and with Sally-Anne’s experience, background and love of the performing arts, we’ll be able to grow our passion for providing support for creatives wanting to explore and create new work. She truly is an asset to TAPAC.
