The Bright Awards seeks NZ's emerging talent

Media Design School has partnered with the fantastic new website urs.net.nz to launch a new competition.
The Bright Awards is a Design / Illustration / Photography / Art / Moving Image competition with the aim of recognizing and celebrating the emerging digital design talent in New Zealand.
Students in Years 11, 12 or 13 can submit one piece of work in any of these digital design media. This could include a poster, digitally manipulated photograph, digital painting, moving image piece, or a resolution to a design brief.
Twenty finalists will be displayed at The Bright Awards exhibition to be held at Media Design School from 23 September to 4 October.
Three winners will be selected by a panel of industry professionals and announced at the exhibition’s opening event on Monday 23 September. They will receive a prize pack including a Bamboo Digital Drawing Tablet to inspire future creations and a Design Day experience visiting New Zealand's top anmation, game development and design studios.
The People’s Choice Award, as voted by visitors to the exhibition, will be announced on 8 October 2013.
