Birdbrain, the new CD from Fatcat & Fishface, is a tribute to the greatest singers in New Zealand ... our native birds.

It features 13 sparkling original songs in honour of our feathered friends.  

Meet the smartest bird in the world (kea), the nest invading shining cuckoo, the lonely albatross at sea, dancing penguins on the ice, and the nightclub of kakapo, morepork and kiwi.  The dawn chorus will never sound the same again!

Birdbrain is the latest (7th) album from Fatcat & Fishface, the award-winning outlaws of New Zealand children’s music, and is supported by the Department of Conservation (DOC) and Creative NZ.

Fatcat & Fishface’s cheeky style and offbeat humour have been compared to Spike Milligan, Roald Dahl and Flight of the Conchords.  

Fatcat & Fishface have won awards in the USA (Children’s Music Web Awards) and New Zealand (NZ Music Awards).  

Fatcat & Fishface have released six albums to date: The Bestest & Horriblest Songs for Children (2008), Meanie (2007), Pretty Ugly (2004), Dogbreath (2001), Selfish Shellfish (1999), and Horrible Songs for Children (1997).

Fatcat & Fishface’s animated music clips debuted at the NZ International Film Festival (Animation for Kids) and are played on TV3 and TVNZ afternoon children’s programming.
