Vintage NZ Poster designers work re-issued
Posters designed by important twentieth NZ designers including Leonard Cornwall Mitchell (1901-1971) and Marcus King (1891-1983) have been recently been re-ssued and are now available through New Zealand Fine Prints.
LC Mitchell completed over 90 NZ stamp designs (some of which won international awards) as well as some of NZ's best known vintage poster designs such as "Mitre Peak, Milford Sound" pictured. Marcus King arguable was more expressive within the poster medium - his "Winter Sports at Mount Tongariro National Park" is technically crisp in its dynamic portrayal of the skiers' movement.
