Come and celebrate Worldwide Day of Botanical Art 2025, free artist demonstrations and talks over the weekend of 17 and 18 May

Sunday May 18 2025 is designated Worldwide Day of Botanical Art. 

COME ALONG AND JOIN IN THE CELEBRATIONS:

  • ALL WEEKEND AT THE AUCKLAND BOTANIC GARDENS
  • Botanical Art Worldwide exhibition showcasing 47 stunning artworks by 30 New Zealand artists
  • See a slideshow of over 1000 botanical artworks from the 30 countries taking part - showing all day on a big screen
  • Meet artists in the gallery or drawing in the gardens - why not bring your sketchbook and join them!
  • View beautiful botanical art books in the gardens library

9am - we start the day with a Powhiri. If you wish to come along, be outside the visitor centre at 8.45am

2pm - ‘Te korowai o Papatuanuku – the Cloak of the Earth Mother’,
