Writers' Lab Aotearoa

Script to Screen is now calling for applications for the Writers’ Lab Aotearoa – a five day intensive lab where selected writers workshop their feature scripts under the guidance of renowned international and local mentors.

Application Deadline: 5pm, Monday 28th April 2014

The Lab will be held over the 1st-6th of July 2014 on Waiheke Island.

In addition to the lab, Script to Screen will provide support to participants in the following 12-month period. This could entail a read through with actors and a dramaturge or additional script development, depending on the needs of the project.

Screenwriter and longstanding Sundance script advisor Michael Goldenberg (Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Contact) will join us at the July lab with more mentors to be announced in the coming months.

To be considered for selection you must have a draft of a feature film script that is in active development (with or without the NZFC) and is at a stage where intensive workshopping will be beneficial. Only one project may be submitted for consideration from each writer. Co-writing teams are eligible.
