New online qualification provides more access to digital skills.

Yoobee’s first online NZQA approved qualification is now open for enrolments.  The programme will start on 3 March 2014 and be delivered fully online.

The Certificate in Digital Media is a level 3 programme that provides students with a pathway to further study in Graphic Design, Web Development, Animation or Filmmaking.  It is currently offered at Yoobee’s Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch campuses, and at Manurewa High School and Kelston Girls’ College.

The Certificate in Digital Media – Online is a 25-week programme and will be taught 100% online via Yoobee’s online campus.

“This programme will help us reach a wider audience both in New Zealand and internationally says Ruth Cooper CEO.  “It is for students who don’t live in Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch, as well as students with disabilities, caregivers and others who have commitments that make it difficult to study full-time on campus.

“We have designed the programme for an anytime, anywhere, any device world, and we are focused on ensuring the learning experience is authentic, engaging and interactive.  Students have a mix of options and can choose the way that they learn best – whether that’s attending live interactive sessions with a tutor or viewing the recording later. They can collaborate in online forums, speak with the tutor directly in live sessions or contact them later for extra help and support.”

Yoobee School of Design launched is online campus on June 2013 and now is offering nine different short courses in graphic design, 3D animation and web design.
