Auckland Writer/Actor Jess Holly Bates is the first winner of the PAGE 2 STAGE mentorship and artist development program for 2013 run by www.printablereality.com!
In a showcase night on Sunday October 27 Jess Holly was chosen by judging panel YeeYang 'Square' Lee (Short + Sweet Festival), Melissa Fergusson (Director/Writer), and Serie Bradford (Performance Artist) to take her show MULTITUSK to London in 2014.
Jess Holly Bates will be performing as a guest of the Apples & Snakes spoken-word organisation based in London, with a huge thanks to the generosity of the New Zealand Society London for getting her over to them.
Jess performed alongside fellow PAGE 2 STAGE mentees Nalini Singh, Angela King and Kashka Tunstall in a showcase of high quality poetic works sure to be seen on a stage near you in the not-too-distant future.
The girls performed breathtaking feats of Art and are strong proof of the burgeoning spoken-word scene in New Zealand.
Page2Stage will be back in full force in 2014, applications will be open in December.
