SAE Creative Media Institute’s Open Day

14 Aug 2021
10.00am-2.00pm Saturday 14 August 2021
If you’ve ever wanted to check out the other side of the soundproof glass in a recording studio, or cast your eyes over state-of-the-art film equipment, then come along to SAE’s open day!
Event type:
Seminar/Public Lecture
Auckland Campus
10, 12 and 18 Heather Street, Parnell, Auckland

The campus will be open, to all ages, for anyone who is interested in a career in the audio or film industry.

There is no schedule – simply turn up any time between 10am and 2pm and join one of the campus tours.

A visit to SAE open day will include a full tour of all SAE’s studio facilities, including the newly revamped recording studios and our state-of-the-art film studio.

Tours will be led throughout the day by SAE lecturers and campus staff, who will also give short presentations about all available programmes, potential careers in the industry and the achievements of SAE alumni.

Graduates of SAE Creative Media Institute leave qualified to work locally or internationally within the film and/or audio fields.

SAE campus manager, Dr Suzette Major, says the open day is a rare opportunity to gain an insight into life as an SAE student.

“We are a tight-knit community working together on a small campus, which gives students a truly unique learning environment. Taking part in our open day will give potential students an excellent grasp of what life would be like should you choose to come and study with us.”

SAE has 50 campuses in 28 countries around the world and qualifications are recognised internationally. Qualifications on offer include Bachelor of Film Production, Bachelor of Music Production, Bachelor of Audio Production, Diploma in Film Production, Diploma in Electronic Music Production and Diploma in Audio Production.

Job prospects for graduates are diverse, including recording studio engineer/producer; live sound technician; audio production for theatre, camera operator, scriptwriter and 3D animator to executive producer and film editor, and radio industry work.
