Peter Force is obsessed with ideas, storytelling and big sticks of charcoal. He’s an illustrator, award-winning advertising creative and screenwriter, and a pastel artist.

During lockdown Peter wrote a story and started drawing portraits which he posted on his Instagram page, with the generous support of The Auckland Arts comeback initiative Pete ran a Boosted campaign and has successfully made this project come to life.

Little is known about what happened on Thursday, June 12, 1956 near the small mining town of Jerome, Arizona.

A media blackout instigated by a government in the grips of cold war paranoia was largely successful and it's taken years of hard work and persistance by a small group of dedicated underground investigators to finally bring the incident to light.

This exhibition features portraits, eyewitness accounts and artist impressions of the unexplained craft seen in and around that small town some 66 years ago.

Phillip Fickling  a paper engineer has contributed to this exhibition by creating a flying saucer! Phillip designs and creates breathtaking model kits, pop-up books and sculptures with nothing more than paper and cardboard.

All works are for sale.

You are most welcome to join us for drinks and nibbles as we open the exhibition on National Space Day, Friday 6 May 2022 from 6 - 7.30pm.
