Shakespeare's The Comedy of Errors

Tues - Sat 8pm, Sun 2pm matinee
Shakespeare's farcical comedy at its finest!
Event type:
Adult $30, Concession $27, School Student $18
Dolphin Theatre
12 Spring Street, Onehunga, Auckland

When the Syracusans encounter friends and family of their identical twins, a series of wild mishaps based on mistaken identities lead to wrongful beatings, seductions, the arrest of Antipholus of Ephesus and false accusations of infidelity, theft, madness and demonic possession.

The Comedy of Errors is one of Shakespeare’s earlier plays.  It is his shortest and one of the most farcical comedies, with a lot of the humour coming from slapstick and mistaken identity (one of his popular devices), puns and word play.  So pretty much your usual Shakespeare comedy in all its whacky glory!

Dolphin Theatre is proud to present Shakespeare's hilarious farce, The Comedy of Errors this September.

Dolphin Theatre began as The Onehunga Repertory Players in 1961. Mrs Veronica Dow, an actress and producer who had been active in English repertory theatre, was invited by the Mayor and Mayoress, Mr and Mrs Leo Manning, to form a local drama group.
