This workshop is a conversation in between medium exploring various techniques Carlson has been using in her WOW garments as well as for the other sides of her practice.
The day will start with Carlson talking about the pieces presented at Estuary Arts Centre for the current "Wear your Art out" exhibition. Then, you will approch different medium: Dry point etching on Perspex, printmaking, collage, you choose!
You will create your own necklace (cabochon and bezel provided) using your prints/collages and enhanced with Carlson's beads n' pieces. Bring also what you would like to work with: ideas, collage, materials, beads... the workshop has no limitations...besides time!
Beatrice Carlson offers most material as well as some tutorials; tools are provided by Estuary Arts Centre. The workshop is enrolling a maximum of 10 adult participants in order to give the best experience possible.
