This five-day workshop will focus on the creative side of prose writing.

Students will work with a range of tools and techniques to help them get started on a piece of writing, refine and polish a written draft, and gain the confidence to experiment with words and structure.

Topics covered will include word choice, composition, style, editing, point of view, voice, inspiration and how to get published, with both fiction and non-fiction in mind.

Each day will include dedicated writing time and feedback sessions, as well as a range of exercises, prompts and readings that students will be able to use again and again in their writing practice.

Something to write on, and with. This can be a laptop, or pen and paper, whichever you are most comfortable with.
