Through the Lens of a Quirky Imagination- A Phantasmagorical View of Pandemic Life is a personal reflection on nearly three years living with Covid.
Each surreal tableaux vivant image is a metaphor designed to encourage thought, reflection, and discussion on our personal and shared experiences. Some photos are an irreverent jab at the lighter side of pandemic life, while others ask questions and confront serious issues.
The project was completed under level 3 lockdown conditions. All the images were shot in a home studio using one model from within the artist’s bubble.
Kathy Servian is a fine art photographer, writer, and costumier based in North West Auckland. Through the mediums of photography and photo manipulation she creates surreal visual stories with her own quirky point of view.
