Ceramic elements will be fired and available for collection one week after the workshop.

Please note, this workshop is recommended for people 16 years and over.

Iza Lozano is a ceramic artist and educator currently based in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland. Lozano studied ceramics at Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes y Literatura in Mexico City, where she lived and developed her practice until she moved to Aotearoa New Zealand in 2020. She has since completed artist-in-residence programmes at Auckland Studio Potters and Driving Creek Pottery. Lozano works are inspired by archaeological objects from various cultural origins. She has exhibited in Mexico, Spain and Aotearoa.

The exhibition is organised by the Vergel Foundation and MondoMostre in collaboration with the Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes y Literatura. It is proudly supported by Craigs, AUT, as well as Omnigraphics, with special thanks to the Auckland Art Gallery Foundation.
