Mary Ama is of Cook Islands descent and is recognised as a Master Tivaevae artist. Her works have exhibited both nationally and internationally and she shares her knowledge and skill of Tivaevae through intimate workshops with community. Join Mary Ama and the Mamas for a morning of Tivaevae.

Artist Talk – about the different types of Tivaevae, their uses, colours, design and symbolic meanings
Create – An opportunity for participants to create their own Tivaevae patch, using a selection of pre-cut fabrics / designs.
