Take the opportunity to get out and get creative this Labour Weekend. The Sculpture Park at Waitakaruru will be open all weekend and we have heaps of creative ideas to share.
Enjoy our arboretum meandering along 2 kms of walking track. We have over 100 sculpture and installation works on site. Don't miss our 2 temporary exhibitions - your last chance to see “Forgotten Forest” by Nathan and Destine Hull. Sculptural work created from scrap metal bringing a bit of forest magic to our rock garden. We are also lucky to be hosting work by Rebecca Rose. Rebecca's beautiful figurative sculptures “Swimmingly” herald summer as they bring the banks of our ponds to life with enigmatic bathers.
Take part in our Ruru Hunt and be in with a chance to win a prize. You may also like to experiment with some of our creative nature art or build your own raft to set sail on the pond. Den building and picnics are a welcome activity at the arboretum and we look forward to welcoming you, your family and friends, to let your creative spirit shine over this weekend.
