This is a collection of layered, folded, pigmented and stitched works that highlight the complex challenges Jeanette sets herself in her making practice. Taking materials of dissimilar natures, creating bonds between them, shaping them into complex geometric folded systems, releasing the volumes created to be decorated with colour and secured by stitch – the care and foresight needed is a test of nerves that not many of us would ever be up to. Jeanette continuously pushes the envelope – always exploring more layering possibilities, more textures, more ways to enliven the predictable into something astounding.
Please note that we are open longer hours over the Garden Festivals and Art Trail season. 10 am - 5 pm from the 31st October to the 9th November.
