Nominated for Best Jazz Album at the 2025 Aotearoa Music Awards, Dzindza showcases Gapara’s deep connection to his Southern African heritage, blending the sounds of Afrobeat, Highlife, Mbaqanga, and Mbira with influences from across the African diaspora, including Zouk, funk, and soul.
