An auction of artworks by the late Eion Stevens, a well-known artist with a national reputation, will be held at Artsenta from 9-23 October.
Stevens was born in Dunedin, studied at the Otago Polytechnic School of Art, and went on to amass a significant body of work that is auctioned annually to support charitable organisations.
Artsenta is an art studio for people using mental health and addiction services that has been operating in Dunedin and the Otago region for 39 years.
Proceeds from the sale of artworks will go to the Eion Stevens Estate and Artsenta which is run by a charitable trust.
An exhibition of artworks will be available for viewing at Artsenta from 10-23 October. The online auction will be hosted by Haywards Auction House and will begin at 5pm on 9 October in conjunction with the official opening of the exhibition at Artsenta. The Exhibition and Auction ends on 23 October.
