I am Margaret Feeney, artist and art tutor and welcome absolute beginners and practicing artists to this programme. You don’t need to know anything about art or drawing! Come along and learn how to draw information from the material world to inform your thoughts and feelings. And to see the world more clearly.
- This programme is skills-based:
- We begin with mark-making and looking at basic drawing techniques such as cross-contour, planar structure, reductive drawing, linear volume, etc.
- We will consider the elements and their organising principles
- Formal instruction is interspersed with play: conceptual drawing,3D drawing, drawing with light and with the silhouette, stop motion, the painting sketch etc.
We’ll be covered in charcoal on one week, in clay the next. And our minds and skills will grow!
