Join us over Labour Weekend for the Raglan Arts Weekend 2025, our much anticipated annual open studio art event.
The Raglan Arts Weekend (RAW), now in its 15th year, draws thousands of art aficionados from across the country who come to get a sneak peek into the creative process of Raglan's local talent. Visit over 65 artists working in an exciting and diverse range of media from recycled metal sculpture, graffiti art, textiles and ceramics to jewellery, photography and wood work, as well as the more traditional art forms, such as painting and illustration. Not only that, RAW has also collaborated with a Country and Blues Music Festival and has workshops and installations for visitors too.
RAW is a self-guided tour, where you can use our Raglan Arts Guide booklet and map, as well as our website to help you plot your own route. You can start your tour at the Old School Arts Centre where you pick up a brochure, see some of the artist studios, get a feel for the art from each studio, and plan the rest of your day or weekend. There will also be a Preview Exhibition and 300x300 show where you can pick up a limited artwork for a fraction of the original price.
This year, we also have “The Hatch”, an emerging artists show including 15 up and coming Whaingaroa artists.
Join us for our opening cocktail night too at Iso Bistro-Cocktail Lounge. It’s a ticketed event and includes a welcome drink and hearty grazing table.
