Uncover Science on the Ice with fun, family-friendly activities led by scientists from Defence Science and Technology. Find out why the NZ Navy goes to Antarctica. Participate in a range of activities including testing for CO2, exploring a survival kit and getting up close with an inflatable raft. Imagine you're a sailor in Antarctica and see if you can complete some simple tasks when your hands are very cold and/or wearing gloves.
When: Saturday 24 May 10am – 3pm
Entry: Free*
Suitable for children aged 3+. Children must be accompanied by adult in the museum.
*Please note: International visitors aged 18+ entry fee $15
