About - Textured Glass Landscape with Sue Tinkler

Curious about fused glass? Join us for a two day Textured Glass Landscape workshop, perfect for beginners wanting to explore the art of glass fusing. Under the guidance of Sue Tinkler, you will learn foundational techniques for working with fused glass. This course includes glass cutting, layering, embossing and decorating.

Over the two days, you will create three small textured wall art pieces and a set of tea-lights. Using pulled molten glass stringers (vitrigraph) and other decorative elements, you will add them to the base glass to add depth and texture to your work. No prior experience is required!

Day 1 - Getting Started with Fusing

  • Learn the basics of glass cutting
  • Create three small pieces featuring embossed textures, copper inclusion and surface colour
  • Begin the first stage of your full fused wall art piece

Day 2 - Adding Texture and Detail

  • Pull vitrograph glass stringers to use in your designs
  • Add stringers and cut glass elements to your landscape created on Day 1
  • Finish by creating a set of tea-lights

By the end of the workshop you will have hands-on experience with fused glass, and new handmade pieces to take home.
