Join our engaging acting classes led by long-time experienced tutor John Goudge!
Enthusiastic actors of all levels are welcome! This programme is designed to develop your acting skills, build confidence, and gain experience for the professional or amateur stage. Each term offers unique opportunities to grow as a performer, in a supportive and fun environment.
A maximum 12 students per class ensures a worthwhile experience for everyone.

The Classes:
Youth class – Monday nights, 5 – 6.30pm – for children in years 7, 8, 9 or 10 at school (11 – 14/15 years old)
Adult class – Monday nights, 7 – 9pm – for adults of any age
Junior class – Tuesday nights, 4.45 – 5.55 pm – for children in years 4, 5, or 6 at school (8-10/11 years old)
Demand for our youth classes has seen an extra class added on Wednesday nights at tutor John’s studio in Oratia, Rimu Glade Studio. (4 Rimu Rd, Oratia.) 
Youth class – Wednesday nights, 5 – 6.30pm – for children in years 7, 8, 9 or 10 at school (11 – 14/15 years old) Rimu Glade Studio.
 

Programme Overview:
Term 1 – The Actor’s Toolkit
Dive into the craft of acting through scenes, games, and exercises designed to develop your skills. Work with real scripts and refine your performance techniques. On the final night, family and friends are invited to see the progress you’ve made in an informal showing.
Term 2 – Create Something from Nothing
Explore the art of improvisation! Learn to think quickly, create compelling characters, and collaborate with your peers to craft engaging stories. The term culminates in an exciting performance of improvised scenes and games for family and friends on the final night.
Term 3 – What’s My Scene?
Experience the process of developing and rehearsing a short play, gaining valuable stage experience in the process. This term’s work concludes with a performance, giving you a taste of life on stage.
