Weekend Laughs is a comedy showcase of some top NZ and international talent, right in the heart of Petone at Abandoned Taproom.

Each show features a changing line up of your favourite comedians, and up-and-coming talent.

Friday 21st and Saturday 22nd February features:
Jeremy Corbett
The host of 7Days, and one of NZ's favourite MCs and comedians, Jeremy has headlined stages around NZ, and is appearing for one night only on the Fringe Bar stage.
"A Classic Comedy legend" Scott Blanks, Director of The Classic

and Justine Smith
Having won the Billy T Award, the NZ Comedy Guild Best MC (three or four times) and the NZCG Best Female Comedian (like five or six times, losing count), Justine has established herself as one of the best bloody stand ups we have here in New Zealand.

Friday 27th and Saturday 28th February 
Jack Ansett - as seen on TaskmasterNZ 
Jack has also appeared on Guy Montgomery's Guy-Mont Spelling Bee, the NZ Comedy Gala, and 7Days.

James Nokise
James has carved out a reputation in New Zealand going after everything from gangs, to politicians, to stereotypes within Pacific culture. Winner of the 2019 Fred Award, and the 2025 Topp Prize for contributions to NZ comedy.

Friday 6th and Saturday 7th March
Hoani Hotene - 2025 Billy T Award winner
A rising star in the NZ comedy scene, Hoani has opened for Joe Daymond, Tofiga, and more. His NZ Comedy Festival show sold out in 2025, and he returns for two nights only to his home base in Petone.
