King’s College is an independent Anglican secondary co-educational boarding and day-school located in Otahuhu, Auckland. We pride ourselves on providing the best all-round education possible to our students, within a supportive and inclusive community.

A unique opportunity for a passionate guardian of knowledge, history, and people.

This is a full-time position during school term weeks, ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of heritage preservation, information management, and student engagement.

If you are equally energised by cataloguing rare artefacts as you are by helping a student discover their next favourite book—or bringing history to life for our community—you may be the perfect fit.

Reporting to the Director of Community & Donor Engagement (Archivist functions) and Library Manager (Library functions), this newly shaped role supports two cornerstone areas of the College: our Archives and our Library.

As Archivist (3/5 days), you will be the custodian of the College’s historical memory—responsible for overseeing, developing, and promoting our physical and digital heritage collections. As part of the Development team, you will contribute to strategic events, research initiatives, publications, and historical storytelling that celebrates our past, connects it with our present and strengthens our community engagement and giving campaigns.

As Librarian (2/5 days), you will play a central role in supporting learning outcomes, providing outstanding information services, and helping create a library environment where students become curious, independent thinkers and lifelong learners.
This is a role for someone who loves knowledge, loves people, and wants to contribute meaningfully to the fabric of a community.
