Arlpwe Art & Culture Centre located 400km north of Alice Springs in Central Australia  is 100% community-owned, representing four traditional language groups: Kaytetye, Alyawarr, Warlpiri, and Warumungu.​  Two positions have become available with start dates mid January 2026.

 

This is a unique opportunity to work alongside First Nations artists, help tell their stories, and support a thriving creative community rooted in traditional cultures. 

 

As Art Centre Manager you will:

  • Lead the development and delivery of innovative art and culture programs that inspire and engage diverse audiences.
  • Collaborate with artists, community groups, and stakeholders to create meaningful cultural events and initiatives.
  • Champion inclusivity and accessibility, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to participate and thrive.
  • Manage budgets, timelines, and resources to deliver high-quality projects on time and within scope.
  • Foster partnerships and build relationships that strengthen Arlpwe Art and Culture.

 

As  Studio Coordinator, you’ll be:

  • A hands-on driver of creative energy, 
  • Administer studio operations, 
  • Support artists, and 
  • Manage art and cultural initiatives.

 

What's Offered:

  • Art Centre Manager role $90,000 - $100,000 AUS per annum
  • Studio Coordinator role is $65,000 - $80,000 AUS per annum
  • + Superannuation (12%) and leave loading.
  • 6 weeks annual leave
  • Subsidised accommodation
  • Relocation allowance

 

While this is a unique opportunity for two art professionals (couple or friends) to experience working in an Aboriginal Art and Culture Centre the positions are also offered to individual applicants.
