Entries for the 2025 Otago Art Society’s biennial Cleveland National Awards are now open. With a total prize pool of $18000, this prestigious art award is not to be missed. Entries close midnight on Friday 24th January.
These Awards have been made possible through the generous sponsorship of principal sponsor: The Cleveland Charitable Foundation and category sponsors: Winsor and Newton, Liquetex, Highgate Partners, the Naylor Family, Alex Campbell’s Menswear, and Moray Gallery.
The Awards will take place at the iconic Dunedin Railway Station, home of the Otago Art Society. The exhibition will be open to the public every day from 22nd March to 26th April 2025.
The Cleveland National Awards are open to artists residing in New Zealand with initial entry via digital submission. Multiple visual artistic disciplines are included with awards given in each category:
1. Painting/2d Media,
2. Printmaking/Photography/ Graphics;
3. 3 D Media/ Sculpture/Jewellery;
4. Textile/Embroidery/Stitch.
A Young Artist Award will also be presented to an entrant 25 yrs and under.
Selection of works for the final exhibition and the winners of each category will be made by two judges from the art community.
The OAS aims to make this event a celebration of New Zealand's artistic diversity and we need your help to achieve this goal. This is a biennial award so don't miss your chance to participate!
