Calling artists from across Aotearoa!
The ILT Murihiku Art Awards 2025 are now open for entries - a nationally recognised award based in the heart of Southland, celebrating outstanding contemporary visual art in all its forms.

Presented in partnership by the Invercargill Public Art Gallery and the Southland Art Society, the awards offer artists from across the motu the opportunity to exhibit, connect, and be recognised for their work - with $20,000 in prize money on offer.

Artists may submit up to two original works, across any visual art medium - including painting, printmaking, sculpture, jewellery, photography/digital, graphic, or video-based work.

All entries must be:

  • One-off original artworks
  • Completed within the last 12 months
  • Not previously exhibited in Murihiku
